Michael Hill has been appointed Operations Director

Michael has been working as a consultant with us since October 2009. In that time Michael has gained full insight into the operation and has many thoughts and ideas to improve procedures and productivity.We're delighted to have secured his services full time and look forward to moving forward under his guidance.

After 17 years with Folio Steve has decided it's time for a fresh challenge

Steve joined Folio in August 1992 and has been a the sharp end of all things production ever since. Folio would like to thank Steve for his hard work and commitment and wish him the very best of luck in his future endeavours.

Folio produce beautiful thread sewn 132pp book for magazine production guru Andrew Wilson

Folio have completed a project on behalf of "industry expert" and keen photographer Andrew Wilson who's produced a stunning book of wildlife pictures taken in and around Putney, Barnes and Richmond. We received the printed sheets from Pensord Press and produced a 132pp thread sewn book.

Andrew wanted to produce a landscape book and we worked together to create the largest size we could mechanically produce - 310mm - pushing the limits and working with minimum trims to ensure the sheets ran through the machine.

Post-Press Company of the Year 2009.

Folio has been nominated in the Post-Press company of the Year category of the 2009 PrintWeek Award. The ceremony takes place on October 19th at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Folio installs a second Tauler laminator.

The second machine, a Tauler CTi75 will enable Folio to handle the increase in lamination it has experienced since the first installation precisely a year ago.

Publications finished by Folio for three print clients are recognised with ten awards in the second annual Howard Smith Paper Graphic Design and Print Awards.

The winning projects were printed by Bath printer Emtone, Dexter Graphics and Bristol-based EPC. Projects included work for organisations as diverse as BlackBerry, Bryan Adams and the National Portrait Gallery and the Soil Association. The work demonstrated the broadest possible range of Folio's portfolio of services; including perfect-bound and case-bound publications, stapled and singer-sewn brochures, and complex bespoke or hand-finished solutions.

Amazingly, all ten winning entries were design solutions by Bath agency The English Group, with whom Folio has enjoyed a productive relationship spanning many years.
