JAguar

To launch the new XK Range Jaguar's designers pushed the boundaries in terms of the physical size of a book. This project ran to 48pp text on 200gsm stock, printed as 8pp sections to be folded with cross page spreads and line ups throughout; gathered, thread sewn and bound with a 300gsm drawn on cover plus match ups inside front and back. It was then finally trimmed to 375x297mm.

Due to the length of the spine and foredge, adjustments were made to the machine to accommodate the size going into the clamps - and the timing had to be adjusted too. After all the adjustments there were only millimetres to spare.

Production was for 30,000 copies in various languages, and the book has now been produced on 5 separate occasions.
